Salam HI family and photographers,
I'm very sorry for not updating this precious blog of ours for such a long time. For those bday celebrants for months of Dec'09 until to-date, I would also apologize for the no-greeting post. It was such a pity that I was not able to announce the marriage of our 2 team members as well :(
But but, I always believe the saying of 'better late than never'. So now, though it was way way back for some of you, please accept my sincere apology and my very late greeting on behalf of all family members & photographers.. Especially to: Bibing, Alai aka Umi, Dani, Salwa, Guntor Junior, Abang, Edah, Mas, T-Nan, Tiara, Nanie, Adi, Ekah, Anti Kiah, Mom, Danish, Ngah Ejack, Nonie, Kaka Kechemong, Zal, Alai Feeqah, Hafizh, Hasbi, Bobby, Zila & Ejack..
DEC'09
- There was no family day. The family of Fizah spent almost 1-mth at Australia for graduation of Salwa plus holiday..
JAN'10
- Zal and Nanie, our lovely couple, got married on the 15th. Congratulations!! I do hope that they can share their happy moments with us *hint hint for your photos haha*
- New photographers had also joined and started their tasks with Zal & Nanie. Hmm kan kahwin pun kena keluar menggambar yerr.. Nasib photographers lah tu!! Ok, let us give a warm welcome to Uda Jol and Apen.
FEB'10
- We had our 1st family BBQ gathering at our newly resort (sorry wasn't pay attention to the place name) on the 26th. Fun Fun Fun!! Thanks to those committees for the excellent preparation and smooth event.
MAR'10
- 4 active HIP members (Zal, Nanie, Uda Jol, Apen) were assigned to wedding tasks.
APR'10
- As our newcomers do not have HIP Polo Shirt, it was decided to take this opportunity to do new Polo Shirt design. The design will be out soon! And it was planned that the shirt will be ready by May. It will be BLACK in color! Nice~ Will keep you posted with the update, hopefully *takut nda te-update bah*
- Ahah! When the photography team has new design shirt, the family also insisted to have new Polo Shirt, to get ready with our 2010 Family Day. This is currently arranged by Alai Umi.

3-in-1 Event

On the 28th of March 2008 (Saturday), we had successfully celebrated our 1st quarterly event of the year, that was our 3-in-1 event. We had blended 3 events into 1 celebration at the Residence of Awg Zolkepli bin Haji Ibrahim (Uda Jol).
- 1st: Official House Warming or House Opening Ceremony.
- 2nd: Marchians Bday Celebration for family and team members.
- 3rd: Prize presentation for our photography contest.
Theme for the nite: red or white. Though it was a last minute decision, about 90% attended with the theme outfit. Thanks for being supportive to us!!
The nite was attended by more than 100 people. MC of the nite: Ngah Kub. He managed to make the event lively and happening. Thumbs-up! Shortly after Isya' prayer, everyone had settled down as well, the event was started with Bacaan Doa Selamat by our Usu Massa. We were then entertained with slideshow of Uda Jol's house development stages (need to check with HIP-502 if it's possible to publish the slideshow here for your viewing). After, all were invited to visit our gallery displays and to vote their photo preferences.
Next was blowing candles and singing birthday song session. Followed by MAKANNNNN time!! Saat yang dinanti-nantikan ne... Thanks to our sponsors!! We've got nasi briyani (HIP-799), all-fav udang (Usu Nanie), chix (Ngah Jamil & HIP-012), ambuyat (HIP-110), etc etc... Food was more than enuff (as usual) coz ada sesi tapau menapau lagi tu... Finally, the moments most of the photographers have been waiting for... announcement of the contest winners, most rated photos followed by prize presentation. Prior to that, there was a certification presentation session to all contestants.
I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the working committees for the job well done, and contest winners for winning!! We would also like to thank the house owners (Uda Jol & T-Nan) for allowing us to hold our event at their home sweet home.
Overall it was an enjoyable and successful event with lots of constructive suggestions and comments received for our future events. We surely hoped that all attended the event were satisfied with the services and programs offered.

HIP logo proposal

Credits to 799 for meeting the deadline plus the very impressive logo design. Honestly, I love the logo!! Here's the logo (taken from 799's blog).
Meaning of the logo
The circle represents 2 meanings:
(1) our unity as a team as stressed by the term 'we' in our motto.
(2) lens and shutter - by using the lens, we focus on what we do ~ shooting and it is reflected in our motto, i.e. we:
- explore the world,
- discover new things,
- capture them for our memories,
- enjoy our learning, experiences and outcomes, and
- share them with others.

Our Official Motto

Hello Team,
Firstly, we thank you for your contribution of ideas and participation in the voting process. All mottos are very inspirational and hope we make use of them for some other purposes. It's absolutely a hard time especially when we had to choose only 1 of the so-many good mottos.
Anyway, based on the poll results, 37% voted for motto #23. Therefore, I would like to announce our official motto, effective 20 Feb 2009:
We explore, we discover, we capture, we enjoy, we share
Congratulations to HIP-502 for providing the most favorable motto. The motto is self-explanatory. Now, it's time for our HIP-799 to design our official logo. Good luck!!

HIP Night Photography Outing

Time: 5.15 pm [Meeting point at Pantai Seri Kenangan]
Itinerary:
5.30pm : Task 1 [Sunset's photo shoot or other photo shoot]
Venue: Pantai Seri Kenangan, starting as early as 5.30pm
Additional equipment: Tripod *recommended to all participant
Note: For those who don't have one will be trained using other techniques.
6.45 pm : Task 2 & 3 [Night Photography & Light Trials Photography]
Venue: 1st to Tutong Town, 2nd to Hua Ho Mall
* Team will be divided into a formation of at least 2-3 person at different places in both location.
8.30 pm: Photo Submission
Venue: Hua Ho Mall [tentatively]
*Laptop will be provided. Team should submit one of their best photo shoots from each task [1,2&3] to be evaluated by our Advisor for Photo Clinic Session [date to be informed later]
Note:

H.I.Photography sadly like to inform individuals, that our photo sessions for BSP at the BSRC, date for 1st Nov 2008, Saturday, on their Hari Raya Gathering Occasion is 'CANCEL'. This is due to the lack of individuals whom wish to follow for this occasion.
But H.I.Photography will having Family Hari Raya Gathering on that date, venue at the house of
Hj Mohd Ali bin Hj Ibrahim, Adviser of H.I.Photography.
Photos on 'Satu Hari Di Hari Raya' contest from H.I.P Teams will be judge and display on that day. Let see who send the best photo.....
