After our long break from monthly contests, the management has decided to introduce our 6-monthly Photography Challenge 2009. Each member will be distributed with an envelope of the contents.
Themes:
- July 2009 - Perarakan Sempena Sambutan Hari Keputeraan KDYMM
- August 2009 - Black & White
- September 2009 - Motorcross / Go Kart
- October 2009 - Ibadah di Bulan Puasa
- November 2009 - Warna Warni Aidil Fitri
- December 2009 - Sports

Objectives:
- As part of our team activity to promote learning and creativity.
- To determine the progress and development of each member from month to month.
Registration & Eligibility:
- Entry to the challenge is free and compulsory for all HIP members.
- Photography Challenge 2009 will commence from the 1st July 2009 to 1st January 201o.

Rules:
- Entries submitted should be relevant to the theme provided.
- All entries must be original work. The entrants must be the sole owner of copyright in all photos entered and must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries.
- Entry form must be submitted:
(1) together with ONE photograph per month per theme.
(2) in 6R size, without border and glossy.
(3) in either colour or monochrome. Black and white is ONLY permitted for the theme of the month.
(4) in both printed and digital jpeg format.
(5) each photograph must be submitted with a photo title of not more than 10 words on what the photo represents on you.
In an effort for non-biased votes, photographs submitted should not have names on them. These photographs will be assigned codes by the committees representing the owner of the photographs and the monthly themes.
- Entries must be submitted latest on the 1st of the following month, 7 p.m. For instance, for July 2009, entries are to be submitted on the 1st of August 2009.
- Entries received after the monthly closing date and time will not be accepted for whatever the reason. Incomplete entries received will also be disqualified.
Assessment:
- All entries will be assessed by a panel of judges. The judging criteria will be based on photo fit and relevance to the theme, composition, creativity, technical quality and overall impression. The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Each photograph will be given marks. At the end of the 6th month, marks will be summed up to get an average mark of each member.
Prizes:
- There will be no monthly prizes. However, top 3 photographs selected for the month / theme will be published here upon knowing the result.
- Highest 3 average marks at the end of 6th month will receive 1st to 3rd winner prizes. Each entrant will nevertheless receive participation certificate.
